The Sonic Mega 8K Resin 3D Printer is an exceptionally large 3D printer that saves you from batch-wise printing and allows you to print large miniatures at once without sacrificing quality. It works on striking details of the models at 43µm and builds them as detailed as any other high-quality 3D printer but in a larger size.

The Phrozen 8K Mega is the first LCD printer to offer a 15” mono-LCD screen, while previous printers provided only 13.3”.

The best part is its larger build area of 330 x 185mm (13 x 7.3 inches) which is enough to build larger models such as table-sized models or body armor in a single batch with excellent 8K resolution.

The build volume is very large and can produce massive and highly detailed prints.The screen is a monochrome screen, which means you get fast layer cure times. The printer will take up a lot of room, so make sure to take its size into account as well. I really enjoyed the pre-calibrated print plate. I was able to start printing right away without leveling the build plate. It’s difficult to tell when the printer is running because the fans are very quiet. It truly does deliver some beautifully precise and large prints.

This printer is unique with its unique and amazing features. It has a specially developed 15-inch monochrome LCD which makes the printer has a very high precision of 43 microns despite the huge installation space and offers very high printing speeds; it only needs 1-2 seconds of exposure time per layer – compared to conventional LCD 3D printers with 7-8 seconds every layer. The monochrome LCD is also thermally stable and has a much longer lifespan than conventional LCDs. I’ve been able to print for long hours without interruption using this printer. It uses Dual Linear Rail & Ball Screw Design to ensure high stability even with large and heavy models. The building boards are perfectly calibrated in production, and no further preparations are necessary as the device can be set up and begins to work instantly. The printer also deals with overheating, as it is equipped with 2 powerful fans that release excess heat from the device.

This printer is worth writing about because it checks all the boxes for fast, high-resolution resin printing; therefore, it delivers. It features a UHD monochrome LCD screen for high-detail, fast printing compared to 2K printers, dual Z-rail stability, and patented ParaLED UV arrangement to support highly precise printing. Layer exposure times range from 2-3 seconds with standard resin and even more quickly with fast-cure resins. The printer accepts USB connectivity only and provides a minimalistic touchscreen interface. The included USB stick provides users with a copy of ChituBox and not much else, but much is not expected from this budget option. It produces slightly more detailed prints because of the large screen size.
