Heavy Body paints are known for their exceptionally smooth, buttery consistency. Golden artist 100% acrylics come in smooth, thick colors in a big assortment of unique and pure pigments. There are no fillers, extenders, toners or dyes added to these colors. They render very good permanency and lightfastness. Every color is formulated otherwise depending at the nature of the pigment. Colors that tolerate higher pigment quite a bit dry to a more opaque, matte finish. Colors which might be more reactive and don’t accept high pigment loading dry to a glossy finish and have a tendency to be more transparent. HB paints retain very good flexibility when dry, greatly diminishing cracking that occurs in natural and synthetic polymer systems. These acrylics can absorb the constant stress and strain placed on canvas when shipped or as it expands and contracts with temperature changes and humidity.
