OVERTURE 3D Build Surface is a durable, scratch-resistant, and reusable sheet. It is an upgraded version of the Previous 3d printer build mat. It comes with 3M 300 LSE with laminated adhesive transfer tape to ensure stronger adhesion and smooth removal.

Description

OVERTURE 3D Build Surface is a glass-based, ultra-flat build plate that leaves no air bubbles when installed and thus can be replaced by novices. Its 8MOH hardness makes it durable, wear-resistant, and easier to clean.

It’s both portions: laminated adhesive and surface sheet are heat-resistant to provide stronger binding with the hotbed and to prevent warping due to temperature fluctuations.

The upgraded adhesive structure of the OVERTURE 3D Build Surface enables it to be used for multiple prints. It is compatible with a wide range of filaments including PLA, PVA, ABS, PETG, PETT, HIPS, ASA, Nylon, Flexibles, and more.

It can be installed in 2 easy steps: 1. Remove the laminated transfer tape from the OVERTURE 3D build surface, 2. Stick it on the heat bed (Optional: Clamping the heat bed surface with binder clips).

On the other hand, the removal is also simple: 1. Heat the bed to 50-60 degrees, 2. Use a putty knife and gently pull it from the edges to remove it.

FAQs:

Can I use it over a 12-inch build surface?

Definitely yes. It is square, you can cut it with an ordinary cutter and join it to cover a 12 inches build surface. You won’t have any difficulty in printing over the joined areas.

Do I need any additional adhesive material with the OVERTURE 3D Build Surface?

You do not need any additional adhesive to ensure stronger adhesion as long as you are printing with PLA and PETG. However, if your printer’s bed is not leveled accurately and the nozzle head is too close to the bed, the first layer will stick firmly to the surface.

Will OVERTURE 3D Build Surface work on an unheated glass bed?

Yes, the OVERTURE 3D works well with an unheated glass bed. You need to relevel the printing bed before printing. While a heated bed is not required when printing with PLA and it is required when you are using ABS or PETG.
