This printer is designed for minor printing modes while allowing me to capture fine details. Though it offers a high resolution, I wouldn’t say I like the tiresome calibration process. Please be cautious when using Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K because the uncured resin can be harmful; therefore, I suggest that must wear gloves and eye protection when handling parts with uncured resin.

It’s compact and silent, and layer cure time is significantly reduced by the monochrome LCD. Although there was a tiny reduction in resolution and very little layer shifting, no important details were lost. The top of the print plate is angled to allow excess resin runoff, however leveling the print plate is challenging and requires experience. Overall, it’s very easy to use, has a remarkably fast printing speed, and produces really detailed prints.

This is a compact and lightweight resin 3D printer. It features a simple design and utilizes LCD technology, but the main improvement over the original Sonic Mini is a resolution bump from 1920 x 1080 pixels to 3840 x 2160 (4K resolution). This makes the machine incredibly accurate, offering an impressive level of detail. The XY resolution of the device is just 35 microns, one of the highest among budget resin 3D printers. The printer features a monochrome LCD light source, which is durable and designed with longevity while also making the machine significantly faster; with this printer, I could print a single layer in under 2 seconds. Although the printer’s build volume is on the smaller side of the spectrum, it’s good enough by ultra-budget resin 3D printers standards, especially considering the overall compact frame of the printer. The printer is compatible with ChiTuBox, the most common slicing solution for resin 3D printers, and It offers an intuitive yet functional interface and does a good job preparing the models. The printer is an impressive combination of affordability and quality. It comes in a compact footprint and will be a good choice for both professionals and hobbyists alike, thanks to its ease of use and outstanding detail of the resulting prints.
